My love for yoga

I believe that everything that happens in your life happens for a reason - it's either to lead you closer to your path or to teach you something.
I started practising Jivamukti Yoga in the beginning of 2007. I've been practising with great enthusiasm regularly since then and I do enjoy it a lot. It was something like that I needed at that time. My teachers Stewart Gilchrist and Amanda were absolutely great. I can quite honestly say, it changed my life in a way.

How did it all start?

I wanted to have a website to sell something on-line and I have that idea for a while but I didn't quite knew what that should be. In 2007 I decided to make a trip to Nepal. I applied for a voluntary programme to teach English and got accepted. It all happened very quickly so I wasn't sure what to do - that meant to resign my current job as a software developer but I decided to follow my instinct and to go ahead. And I think I made the right choice. I stayed in Nepal for 6 weeks and they were unforgettable. Most of the time I spent teaching English to Buddhist monks at a Tibetan Buddhist Centre. I had an absolutely amazing time there and I met wonderful people. One of them was Dayan Cutler - the designer of the yoga line.

Dayan and her story...

Dayan Cutler is a the designer and artistic director of the "Source Art Studio" and community. Originally from Finland, She now lives in a the beautiful Himalayas village of Lamagaun, in Nepal. Along with the practice of meditation she learnt to work with the colourful silks and precious handicraft of India. On the quest to study Tibetan Buddhism she followed her heart to Nepal, where people are friendly, innocent and in need of aid. In the peace and natural beauty of the mountains she was inspired to develop the handmade collections Dakini, Bodhichitta and Jupiter to directly benefit the local people and so carry a blessing to their wearers.

The concept of etheria

Dayan created the new yoga line Etheria. She wanted everyone buying and using the etheria line products to get the feeling that she tried to put into making all these - eternal life, it is about the whole alternative lifestyle. We shared that vision of etheria and I think i got it as well - related to: healing, lightwork, meditation, martial arts, celebration of the spirit... It is not just yoga practice - it goes much beyond that. It's realizing your true self.
